Machinery Health / Condition Monitoring Services
NATCOM offers a complete portfolio of Machinery Health Management services in various scenarios including contract services, on demand services, and consultancy.
Portable Vibration Analysis
Single and Multi-channel analysis of rotating equipment vibrations provide extremely useful information about machine’s mechanical health condition and help making critical and timely maintenance decisions. Mechanical, electrical, structural, and operational faults are progressing can be accurately identified and their criticality determined. NATCOM’s routine / predictive maintenance contract services and on-call troubleshooting services help customers identify these problems early and with precision and make proper and timely decisions.
NATCOM has a very wide range of analyzers and software tools for performing onsite vibration analysis on rotating production assets starting from simple motor-pump or motor-fan configuration to complex turbomachinery. These include, single channel, multi-channel (up to 32 channel transient analyzers), torsional vibration analyzers, and all the required related software and hardware tools to perform the most demanding jobs.

Precision Alignment & Balance

NATCOM field services reliability engineers deliver quick and precise alignment and balancing services using state-of-the-art technologies and products from the world leading technology providers. Our engineers have more than 50 years of accumulated experience across the process industry and helped solve many tough problems in almost all types of industries in Egypt and the middle east region.
Motor Diagnostics
Electric Motors drive all sorts of rotating equipment in all industries and therefore represent, by far the, largest and greatest population of any type of rotating equipment running in today’s industry. Electric motors suffer from mechanical problems just like any mechanical piece of equipment, but they also suffer from electrical anomalies related to their unique design and construction: i.e. Rotor, Stator, Motor Circuits, Line Supply, etc.. Insulation failure in both the stator windings and in rotors develop quite fast and often go undetected till failure occur, even if monitored using routine vibration analysis. Traditional phase and thermal protection of motors also proved to be ineffective in detecting these problems early enough for a reliable and cost effective operation.
Modern electric motor monitoring technology uses Motor Current Signature Analysis, Power Analysis, Fault Zone analysis to accurately monitor the motor condition and trend the deterioration enabling early action to be taken to prevent catastrophic failures and plan maintenance in appropriate timing saving industry millions of dollars of lost production and expensive repairs or replacements.
NATCOM offers world class motor monitoring services to help its clients take advantage of this powerful technology to prevent failures and stay profitable. Contact us for more details.

Infrared Thermography

Infrared Thermal Imaging is a very powerful tool in detecting anomalies in electric systems, mechanical systems, insulation, production equipment, etc. it helps save expensive and destructive failures.
NATCOM offers first class Infrared Thermal Imaging services to help its clients avoid expensive and catastrophic failures while enhancing safety and productivity.
Lubrication Analysis
Oil is the blood of your machines. It must be kept “Clean”, “Dry”, and “Fit for Use”. By monitoring the condition of machinery lubricating oils by routine sample analysis we can detect and trend the presence of solid and liquid contaminants, chemical degradation, additive condition, and wear debris. This enables taking actions and make informed decisions to keep machinery reliable while drastically cut operating and maintenance cost.
Free oil analysis frequently offered by oil suppliers present very little information about your machinery health and have limited value when it comes to providing the right and necessary information that you need to manage your production asset.
NATCOM offers Industrial Oil Analysis according to ASTM standards and have a full industrial oil analysis laboratory. Practice # D7416-08, ISO & NAS cleanliness codes, Wear Debris Analysis, Varnish Potential, and Antioxidant level in the oil. Test results are reported electronically in 2-3 days maximum.
The following tests are available in:
1. RULER Test (Antioxidant level).
2. MPC Test.
3. ISO / NAS Cleanliness Codes (using laser particle counting).
4. Water Content.
5. Viscosity.
6. Dielectric Permeability / Chemical Index.
7. Ferrous and non-ferrous particles.
8. Acidity (TAN).
9. Wear Debris Analysis.
Call us for further information, and let our machinery health specialist help you manage your lubricating oils.

Motion Amplification

Motion Amplification is a new technology that uses special high frame rate industrial digital video technology to capture videos of any object that may appear stand still to the human eye. The system then amplifies the motion and produces a new video that shows the motion and measures displacement and frequency anywhere in the image. Motion Amplification Technology enables you to see the unseen. Motion Amplification technology can be described as “Visual Vibration”, “Non-Contact Vibration”, or Remote Vibration.
NATCOM is a certified full “Motion Amplification” service provider by the inventor and the patent holder RDI-Technologies, Inc.
Airborne Ultrasonic Testing (Acoustic Emission):
All materials emit sound when put under stress that cause fatigue cracking in the microstructure. Other sources of ultrasound in industry are pressure and vacuum gas leaks, valve leaks, electric arcing, discharge, and corona, friction, etc. The frequency of this sound is in the ultrasonic range which cannot be heard by the human ear but require special sensors. Testing using ultrasound measurements render great opportunities in savings, failure prevention, quality assurance, and asset reliability. Contact us for further information.

Reciprocating Machinery Analysis

Reciprocating compressors and engines are very complicated in their design and include many components that produce very complex vibration patterns that are not possible to analyze using the traditional waveform and FFT analysis that is applied to rotating equipment. Multi-parameter measurements (dynamic in-cylinder pressure, filtered vibration traces, ultrasound, etc. are all measured against precise crankshaft angle. Analysis of engines (self and spark ignited) require additional measurements related to ignition. This type of analysis provide not only precise diagnosis of mechanical condition component by component but also performance (thermodynamic efficiency) evaluation. Major overhauling of reciprocating compressors and engines becomes a thing of the past saving millions of dollars and increasing production and revenues. Call for more information.
